Great game, but keeps getting slower

I have an iPhone 6S and every time there is an update the game seems to slow down. One of the great benefits of this game is being able to move through AI turns really quickly. But now even placing the armies in the first step of the game seems to take forever to get around everyone. If this game speeds back up to light speed, I am a happy guy!
